Hello,

How much does it cost to completely flatten a 400m2 garden? About 5 trees (assumed to be fellable) and a lot of undergrowth. How much should I budget for heavy machinery, disposal, and possibly new soil?

An old house is to be demolished in the garden. Only 400m2 of the property is in such bad shape that a company has to do it.

If this is really jungle (that is only <0.8% of the total forest area in Germany), then I will buy the property from you today just to leave the valuable nature standing.

The prices vary greatly regionally and from business to business, get three offers made. If the trees are suitable for firewood, you can have people remove them who take the wood for a wage. that already lowers the costs but increases your logistics effort.

20 years ago it was still a normal garden. I only wanted to describe how much nature has reclaimed the garden by calling it jungle.

It is difficult to estimate based on the information provided.

UrWALD: 5 trees on 400 m2...
What now.

And a tree can be felled with a handsaw or require a cherry picker/climbing operation due to adjacent buildings.

Will the excavator fit behind the house for the brushwood?
...

You are not allowed to do anything before October anyway. Use the time and ask smaller companies in your area (contractors, for example).

Take pictures that exactly describe the desired activity and post them on [meinhammer]. I have had the best experiences with this and mostly smaller, reliable companies get in touch. The prices can be surprising.....in both directions.

Leave it if you don't need the space. In the "jungle" at my place live so many birds. Recently I counted 38 tits and sparrows, 1 pair of pigeons and 1 pair of jays, plus dunnocks, wren. Occasionally a common buzzard passes by. Swallows and blackbirds only come by to feed. Otherwise, review the stock and keep what is still good. Old tree stock is nice, it provides a pleasant climate in summer. Maybe there are still perennials and other useful plants for you.
