I definitely don’t like badmouthing either, so I asked right away what the reasons are. One can only speculate about electricity costs/price increases, the electricity prices are only so high for political reasons, the electricity itself is rather cheaper, but the surcharges are so high. By the way, I now also have the current reports on the reduction of oil production in mind, which should mean that gas will tend to become more expensive again for the time being. On the topic of technology: a gas boiler alone is not enough for the KfW status (keyword primary energy), meaning you then need additional systems, with the heat pump it is different. Especially geothermal energy is very individual (collector type, soil type, etc.), I believe many advise against it because they have little or no experience with it. Also, more precise planning is necessary for good efficiency, I think gas systems are somewhat more robust/error-tolerant in that regard. At least for me, the kWh of heat with the heat pump is now cheaper in consumption than a kWh of gas, but the investment costs were of course somewhat higher. From on the go
