Question: is the gas boiler also a Vaillant? Our installer recently said they don’t come any faster either...
I wouldn’t switch back to gas, but that’s just my personal opinion/attitude. I would rely on an air heat pump.
If not Vaillant, then he should offer or sell you another one.

Given the current situation, I really wouldn't rely on gas for a new building anymore. Gas prices will continue to rise unless a miracle happens. And if things go badly, we could have too little gas in just a few months to supply all households and industry. What good is the installed gas heating if there might not be enough gas anymore.

You should be able to get some kind of heat pump by spring 2023.

If you want to stay with gas, then pay the utmost attention to ensuring that the underfloor heating is designed and implemented to be suitable for a heat pump!!!!!

If you are building with prefabricated construction, ask how much extra it would cost to build to passive house standards. Then offset the heating and install a small heat pump and a tiny pellet stove for domestic hot water. Probably even KfW.40 level would be sufficient.

Sure, building with passive house standards would be the ideal solution. Unfortunately, many can't do that at all...

And temporarily switching to gas is associated with enormous financial losses. How much does a ST cost? €4000? After that, you can just throw it away. A huge buffer storage tank is almost mandatory for the ST. That's useless too. Gas connection €2500? Gone. The boiler anyway. Plus having to take out a new gas contract, if you can even get one...

For that money, you can also heat electrically for two or three winters in a new building and comfortably wait for the heat pump.

That makes absolutely no sense and is ultimately much more expensive. (See Deliverer).
