In the other thread, you write 4 net per month for +/- 330K€ loan. How little real income do you have that you don’t get a loan – especially when a civil servant is involved? By the way, BAföG is not a KO criterion; it’s just not a regular income.

It wouldn't be that much. It would be about 260,000 loan which we have calculated now. At the bank it was referred to as a deal breaker, unfortunately (according to the law, he checked). The bank has its flat rates for food, car, etc... We calculate our actual costs per month. Well. we still have to wait. I wouldn't have thought that. Real income would then be about 500 euros less. BAföG is just no security for the bank. I can understand that too.

It's just annoying, but there's nothing we can do. I don't know if another bank would do it.

Are you sure you were at a German bank? Not maybe at a sperm bank?
I've never heard such nonsense from a bank advisor before. Are there perhaps other points that could oppose granting a loan and that you haven't mentioned?

With 3.5 net, 1.8 flat rate is deducted. For 1.0 per month, you can easily get the loan you mentioned with a relatively high repayment. And that with civil servant creditworthiness. The advisor should actually throw their arms around you and ask if you’d like even more credit.

Understandable since BAföG is not an income

BAföG is not security for the bank. One can discuss it however one wants. I would be interested to know if anyone has ever received a loan with BAföG and income.
