Hello everyone,
we want to redesign our terrace. So far, there are concrete slabs as the covering, and we would like to replace them with porcelain stoneware.
Under the current terrace, there is a concrete slab.
The structure up to the top edge is about 17 cm.
The current structure looks as follows: about 8 cm of gravel and above that, chippings and the concrete slabs.
Since we want to lay the new terrace slabs firmly, I would like to do this wet-in-wet in drainage concrete.
My question now is, do I need a drainage mat between the gravel and the concrete slab, or could the drainage mat be installed between the gravel and the drainage concrete?
A foil was installed under the concrete slab back then.
The house wall will be sealed again, and between the house wall and the gravel/drainage concrete, I want to insert a screed tape for decoupling.
Is the structure okay like this?
