Since we are building with individual contracts and therefore want to see the price adjustment requests in more detail, I would fundamentally agree with 11ant. For materials manufactured using gas, we have had discussions or adjustments, or narrowly avoided them by ordering early: windows, roof tiles, tiles. Parquet is currently difficult because much of the wood needed apparently comes from Ukraine and Russia. We have therefore agreed on price adjustments for certain individual material items, with some additional costs also shared.

25% on everything, including the labor used, is therefore also a clear statement in my opinion.

"On everything except pet food" of course *LOL* When the world market and/or world politics provide a reason (alternatively even a pretext suffices), astonishingly even the "Siemens air hook" is always affected by the price increase ;-(

We are currently also building with individual trades, I just looked at the numbers again and currently we have about 13% additional costs compared to the plan. However, some trades have not yet been awarded, so there is still potential for an increase. 10-15% was not an unusual deviation for self-planned houses even before Corona/war, so 25% on the total package seems quite steep to me.

Is it normal with the fixed price guarantee for term x? You’re really buying a pig in a poke....

That’s how it is with us. We bought the plot and house from a developer... With a 25% price increase, we would be totally wiped out

What do you have? Price guarantee for, e.g., 12 months, or unlimited price guarantee?

That is also a completely different matter - contracting with a developer is a purchase at a fixed price (notarized). Having a house built is a contract for work/construction contract. You are comparing apples with oranges.
