Hello,
during the renovation of the bathroom, a part of the drywall was removed. The new solid gypsum boards (20 mm) were installed and the flexible tape was placed between the drywall and the boards (see photos).

The new tiles will be laid on the boards, the drywall will be re-spackled and treated with roller plaster. Now the question arises how we can prevent possible cracks in the roller plaster. Would it help to lay a mesh or mesh corner angle to reinforce the joint?
Thank you.

Somehow I can't follow your explanation. What exactly is being tiled now and what is only being covered with roll plaster? The drywall panels have been spackled as you can see. The correct filler has already been used (the green one). Why do the drywall panels protrude a few millimeters from this ?reveal??

The white wall used to be larger and was shortened. Since the new tiles are being laid completely on the drywall panels, the wall had to meet the panels at the back. Now the question is how to create a good connection here so that this 3-7 mm joint is flexible and no cracks can occur at this point when there is a textured roller finish. The textured roller finish of course goes on the white wall. The idea is to apply corner mesh at the wall/panel joint and to reinforce the joint in between as well as the textured roller finish as much as possible. I assumed that the panels can always move, the gypsum wall stands still, and then there will be a problem with cracks at the joint in the future...

In the meantime, I have done a bit of research and found Rigips AquaBead Flex. It is a tape (85 mm wide) that can be used as edge protection. The tape is flexible and hopefully absorbs the forces when the drywall panels move. I would fill the joint itself (under the tape) with green compound. A flexible tape is already installed in the joint.
