The complete removal is really easier than just loosening the tile. Unfortunately, this also partially causes individual chunks of the stones to come off.

I consulted a tiler who wants to take a look at it.

In the bathroom, the cladding with the drywall would be suitable. In the kitchen, we really need every centimeter.

When removing the tiles and mortar, be careful not to apply too much force towards the stones. Otherwise, the stones might loosen. This means working with the rotary hammer parallel to the wall and not at a 90-degree angle to the stones.

Have now started working with hammer and chisel. This way I can control the pressure even better. Fortunately, these are small spaces/ few tiles

The tiles are all removed. After some practice, it went very well and quickly. When plastering, a mesh is applied beforehand so that the plaster adheres better. Thanks for the help

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to plaster directly on the masonry, you don't necessarily need a mesh. Primer is important.
