Concrete pedestal staircase, which covering suits us?

We don't miss it. Otherwise, we would have retrofitted it already. ;)

Although, once, when I got home quite late, I would have been quite glad to have it... :p

Is a riser necessary for a wooden covering on a concrete staircase? Or can I simply fill and paint it there?

No, not necessary, as it is already made of concrete.

We don't put our hands down when climbing the stairs at all. But I also never had the need to.
There is also a white painted glass panel on it, like on the window sills.

On the subject of railings:

Is it possible to build a railing on the 110 cm wide concrete staircase? Which materials are well suited for this? I would like to have a wall about 10 cm wide on which I can then have the handrail attached.

How can the wall be connected to the concrete to make the whole thing as stable as possible?
