Everyone has the best heating system. Hardly anyone would admit otherwise unless they feel deceived by a provider. Made a bad choice? Never! Here is our option. No reason to recommend this type of heating to everyone. Make a priority list and decide accordingly. Those who decide only based on money and manufacturer information are free to do so. I find living in the house to be an important aspect as well. For us, among other things, "radiant heat noticeable on the skin" was a priority issue.

We tend to go for a brine water heat pump currently with deep drilling, initially with over 9kwp photovoltaics. One wants at least to have a feeling that one is not a complete polluter. We also want to plan a rainwater cistern. Although we never find out the costs.

In Brandenburg, you sometimes have no choice but to build a cistern... because you may not be allowed to put the rainwater into the sewers.

Our neighbors don't have that. So for us it's not mandatory.

We are facing exactly the same decision. At the moment, I lean towards an air-to-water heat pump, as financially it doesn't make much difference over the years for a KFW 55 or 40 house, and I don't have to worry about a trench collector. A heating technician here with us, for example, works only with Wolf and then in connection with a controlled residential ventilation system from Wolf. According to him, both are eligible for BAFA. Although gas is available here, we prefer to rely on renewable generation. That gives me a better feeling (in connection with photovoltaics and green electricity, of course). By the way, a rainwater cistern is mandatory for us, so the decision was already taken away from us.

Although one should still distinguish between heat generation and heat distribution. The combination possibilities are almost limitless.
