Does anyone have experience with brine-water heat pumps with collectors? Unfortunately, a deep drilling is not possible in our case due to the water protection area. If the collectors are installed, are there any restrictions for the soil?

Yes, but I haven't found out which ones yet. Depending on how high the groundwater level is, collectors also don't work. There is still coolant in the ground...

If the ground is moist enough, they are supposed to be even better than deep drilling. We'll see.

Yes, or rather it failed with me because of that. I would recommend you to sit down at the search engine and enter a few keywords. Additionally, research in another forum that is specialized on the topic. Search for ring trench collector. The problem is that it is handled very differently regionally and in the worst case dependent on the person in charge. Search for the lower water protection authority for your district. Often there is already an information sheet. For me, they were very precise and strict. That means a permit would basically be possible, but I would have had to meet conditions or provide evidence. On the one hand, a soil report with the infiltration value. If it is not very low (like e.g. with clay), I would have had to apply an artificial thick layer under the collector. For example with bentonite. But that costs quite a lot again. It would no longer have been worth it and it still could have been that the application wouldn’t go through. That and a few other factors led to me giving up on it.
