You are welcome to explain that in more detail ...

... and of course especially so :-)

1. Creditworthiness and past construction projects (freedom from defects, timely completion, etc.). Honestly, I don't know the details. Possibly also who you know ;)
2. So maybe not just that, but with some specific requests, e.g. all interior walls built of masonry, masonry according to the construction service description of the general contractor (our architect once said they should preferably build with their well-known materials). I can gladly look up concrete examples again, I have an example here.

I'm glad when architects are on the same page as my stone mantra :)
Regarding "all interior walls built of masonry," I explain in the post "Lightweight walls in solid houses?" when that can be smart.

Yes, please.

Ah, read it right away. Thanks. The cheaper general contractor actually planned it that way, and I was already wondering. (So lightweight walls in the attic).

Randomly selected examples:
Stone exterior wall as aerated concrete block or perforated brick (depending on what the general contractor uses)

Interior walls on ground floor/upper floor built of masonry according to statics; chosen stone like exterior wall

Windows made of thermally insulated profiles from the brands Schüco, Salamander, or equivalent

Number of interior doors according to submitted plans; quality according to building description

Sill detail for floor-to-ceiling windows (transition from window profile to terrace)

This is notably in certain cases explicitly wiser and not just equivalent. Where it is better, the other general contractor should actually also prefer it. They sound like at least a tendentially quite recommendable performance specification - would you like to email it to me?
