Cold rooms despite warm heating

I have the same problem. So I set to work and sealed my doors and windows. The heating was also serviced again last week. That made quite a difference.

The reason for the heat loss is precisely leaky windows and doors. I have experienced that too, and we had to replace the windows anyway. We have done that now, and it is noticeably warmer in the house. New windows really make a difference.

New windows also cost a lot of money. Especially with our old building, it is an expensive matter. So in late autumn, I sealed my windows. Before that, I used a tealight to see where there were drafts. Then I attached sealing strips around the frames. Before that, I thoroughly cleaned the frames. So that these sealing strips hold properly.

That helped somewhat as well, and it is now about 5 degrees warmer. Very pleasant and you can feel it.
