Hello

I have a newly built 5-year-old passive house, of course equipped with a ventilation system.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about the cleaning of the pipes installed inside the building. Since you cannot reach them to remove the construction dust as well as the accumulated dust.

I have now taken a few photos with an inspection camera; about a 1 cm layer of dust in the exhaust air is not nice.

After much consideration, I have found a partner with whom I have solved this problem.

We offer efficient cleaning using a cleaning pig. However, before we go to market (planned for 1.1.2019), I wanted to hear what the response is like from new buildings with ventilation systems.

These are systems installed with distributors and plastic pipes.

We would like to initially limit ourselves to the NRW area. But here it is about a realistic assessment from the owners of such systems.

I have one myself and I would like to continue to breathe clean air and not dirty dusty ...

The method we offer is really good and also effective.

So, let's hear from you

Since we only moved in a week ago, it does not affect us yet. If we are interested in it in about 5 - 10 years, you will probably already have experience by then.

It already concerns you as well. A cleaning before moving in is also recommended by the VDI. Because construction dust also deposits there.

Cleaning systems for such ventilation and exhaust systems have existed for a long time. Cleaning spools with brushes are used here. A dust trap is used to separate and collect the dust.

It is important that all ducts that are not cleaned are sealed with a shut-off balloon. This allows the dust trap to achieve a higher velocity and prevents the loosened dust from ending up in your house.

Yes, with our method the floor is mopped and the dust is not stirred up. According to our research, using brushes only causes dust to be stirred up. The stirred-up dust then settles. We remove the dust with our pig like dusting in households. Additionally, the pipe is disinfected. In the photo you can see the cleaning cloth before and after. After one pass. We passed through a total of four times and then the pipe was clean.

So you will be able to clean our system from Erlus yourself, which I actually find even better.
