Hello everyone, I would like to cover or beautify the wall in the garden in some way. I once thought of using wall cladding, which is available for both interior and exterior. As a cover for the wall, I would then have to look out for a suitable panel. Has anyone done something like this before? It should work with a wall similarly to how it does with a room wall, right?

That works, of course. The wall doesn’t know that it’s not a real wall! Let her get advice on the chemicals right away, such as [Tiefengrund], adhesive, etc... Preferably everything from one system.

Ok great. I thought it was a really good alternative to plastering and painting. And the cladding bricks weren't that expensive after all. I just have to make sure I find a suitable cover for the top.

Of course, it is also a question of costs and effort, and whether you constantly see this wall. Other options would be cladding with wood (e.g., inexpensive construction timber), with battens or similar (appearance of rhombus slats), or letting plants grow up and stringing wire against the wall or using reinforcement mesh. These are rather cheaper options or easy to do yourself, depending on how prominent this wall is. If you want to sit on top, you could also cover it with decking wood instead of slabs, because these, for example, are not quite as nice in the front view with concrete slabs.

This wall is already very prominent. It's about 12 meters of direct view from the terrace. Therefore, I want to somehow cover it. Previously, it was covered with ivy, but I would like to do something different. Covering it with wood also sounds interesting. I will take a closer look at it. Thanks

We had a similar wall at our place before, so I am aware of the "problem" when you look at it directly. Depending on the situation, however, such cladding may no longer look good if moss forms or dirt sticks to it. We liked wood not only because of the costs, but also because it was easy to do it yourself and you didn't have to cover it completely; moreover, you could replace something at any time if needed. Maybe it would also be an option to break up the 12m with a tall plant container or something similar so that it is not such a wide wall.
