City villa 160 sqm with side entrance - can it get any better?

Where? Because Germans even straighten the tablecloth and think symmetry is so cool, and the garden is worth less if everything isn't pressed to the north or the street. They don't even want a nice front garden with a curved path and a bench in front of the door, but rather prefer going directly from the garage into the house without fresh air.
Small off-topic detour, sorry

As long as the ridge direction or the gable alignment is not specified, or there is no building line or a small clause regarding parallelism, it is allowed, yes.

Absolutely right.......
....I have implemented it after all, the entrance door is on the west side, the grey area is the access path next to the garage to the house entrance.

Then I take back my warning - as a single garage plus pedal car and trash bins, the width is almost princely.

Garage = special room also means that you really need parking space for 2 cars.

And, where is the garden house for bicycles etc. supposed to go?

And, especially with the positioning of the neighbor's house and your own garage towards the front, a more elongated house would be very nice. Because the garden space towards the neighbor will be the area that is most private. Since the neighbor will orient themselves towards the southwest.

Although it is really a pity that the garage is not allowed to be built on the eastern property boundary. That seems to be fixed and cannot possibly be changed through inquiry?

Summing up:
- There must be 2 parking spaces, preferably in the garage, even if only for the sake of approval.
If you want screws, it will be 4: two official ones in the garage, two additional ones, also for visitors.
But it should be 6 meters wide.
- Connection paths must not be built over and should be as short as possible
- Mail, police and rescue services as well as visitors and yourselves want a self-explanatory path to the front door
(and not through the screw garage, and then into a house recess)
- The view to the south is nicer (never mind, I always say: you look into your garden and at your feet, not at the neighbor)
- A city villa would be the wish (as drawn)... the forum says elongated
- you see a pure south garden - more reasonable for the city villa would be a north garden

Which compromises would you prefer or rather make?

North garden or elongated house?

Good question,
we will first demolish the existing building.
When everything is clear, we will go onto the plot – look in all directions – and reconsider where the house could stand.
After that, we will consider whether to have a north garden or a different house form.
The excavators will move in early tomorrow morning.....

We will stay on topic, because before any floor plan planning we first need to "orient ourselves."
We will let the topic rest for 3 weeks until the demolition is finished.
Then it will continue – many of your ideas need a bit of time to sink in with us.

Best regards and thanks already for your thoughts.
