I hope that means "from you to the planner" and not "to the building authority," because: I don’t even see where beams could rest. My suggestion would be: built-in window seat on the plan bottom towards the sofa area, then the sliding door in the middle, and fixed glazing at the plan top next to the dining table. From the dining table to the plan top, then a double-leaf door opening outward under the pergola.

Oh and enjoy the "empty space". As soon as you have small children, you'll be glad for it ;-) This way there's room for a "play corner" and the ride-on car can speed up too. Otherwise, a bit of space at parties is very pleasant when more than 8 people are attending. This way, everything is better spread out. Oh yes, and did I already mention children's birthday parties? *cover eyes* I'm just about to have one and I'm crossing my fingers that the little ones have some space to play and move around. These might be silly reasons to create extra space, but if you've planned for it anyway, it's much nicer.

I would also find that better.

Why? It doesn’t stop at the children’s birthday. There are enough play days with the children and visits and parties at your place. Nothing is worse than a bottleneck as the entrance to the [Allraum].

Interesting discussion. Then my wife's wish is confirmed. Originally, we had the fireplace in the open space as a room divider, and she wanted to move the fireplace to create space for children, visitors, etc.

Regarding the submission of the documents, I mean the submission to the house builder so that the plan check can be carried out with water pipes, statics, etc. The supporting beam, which will probably be located in the living area, is also planned here. The architect does not draw this himself.

We initially had the window seat in the living room as an addition for sitting. Due to the exterior appearance, which is now symmetrical, the architect redesigned it this way. Now the advantage is that you can look at the fireplace and see into the dining and living area.

I like the tip about the outward-opening window under the pergola; we should consider that again.

The mentioned construction costs, by the way, will have floors, painting work from Q2, and doors carried out as own work.

The kitchen is still being planned; we are considering placing the bar stools downstairs facing the open space.

Thanks again, the ideas are very good!
