Hello everyone,
the following problem:
We purchased a penthouse apartment in January, which is currently still under construction.
The apartment is on the fourth floor and set back about 1.5 meters from the lower floors.
This week, the stainless steel external chimney (2 pipes) was installed about 35 cm next to our bedroom on the outside wall,
which means that when looking out of the bedroom window, the chimney is always in view.
The chimney was not included in any plans or any elevations of the house!
Attached is a picture for illustration.
Since it seems that nothing can be changed about this, it will probably come down to a deduction; what can be done here?

Why can't it be changed? You can swivel the chimney to the house wall, can't you? And then run it flush up the wall? What can be used as a flue? How much is the view worth to you? Everyone has a different "value" in mind here. I would estimate 50% of the purchase price here because for me it is an absolute no-go. Others probably won't be bothered so much; they might be satisfied with 500 €,...

I wonder how something like that can even be planned, let alone built  That would also worry me regarding the rest of the planning and execution......

I was told that a chimney may have a maximum bend of 30 degrees, here we would need 2x 90 degrees... However, they are still checking what the solution could be, perhaps bricking up the window.....

....this is getting more and more creepy. What is going on in their heads?

Even if they brick up the window, this bare, ugly pipe disfigures the entire building structure.
How does the pipe continue upwards? You probably live on the top floor? How is the thing secured against wind (bending)?

Is that meant seriously now, or is there a smilie missing... So you would be okay with someone bricking up your bedroom window? That would be a no-go for me, just like those "aesthetically pleasing" pipes in front of the window.

Why is a chimney suddenly being conjured up now, when according to the plan there wasn't one at all? Or were the pipes originally supposed to go somewhere else?
