Herringbone pattern often looks very strange, especially with rectangular tiles - more like a clinic.
By the way, there is also Anhydrite screed, which is also applied earth-moist.

Ceramic tiles are excellent for flooring. They are durable and look wonderful thanks to their exceptional tonality. When selecting tiles for floor covering, one should follow the wear resistance classes. However, tiles with a higher abrasion class fully meet the residential requirements.

I want to bump this thread again because we are facing a similar problem:

Tile porcelain stoneware matte, 60x60cm, rectified, R9 slip-resistant, abrasion group 4, affordable but not through-colored.
How do you see the statement from the above-mentioned dealer that this nowadays actually plays a subordinate role?

Have you already decided ?

So if, for example, something heavier falls on an edge (let's say a 1-liter glass bottle with a thick bottom) and then hits the edge or in the worst case the corner (with square bottle bottoms), then I think even the hardest tile will get a chip. And with through-colored tiles you have less of the optical problem that suddenly a completely different color/brightness appears underneath.

But honestly, I also don’t know what options there were in 2019 to visually seal chips in tiles accordingly? Maybe a lot has changed so that there are no more problems even with chips that are not through-colored?

Yes, we did not choose any solid-colored ones because of the price. Everything was ordered online for 19.90 EUR per square meter, the tiler was satisfied. If anything does chip off, it just has to be replaced.

Works too. It will go wrong anyway.
Where did you order from, which site?
