We are looking for a fly screen / insect protection for our terrace door and also windows, which can be opened and slid to the side (plisse/blind). Important, it must be cat scratch resistant.

Unfortunately, I have not found anything like this so far.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I don't believe that fixed fly screens are cat-proof. If the cat gets caught in the mesh or scratches it, then the fine-meshed things just break. I would take the risk and hope that the cat learns not to go near it. I don't know any cat owner who has given up on a normal fly screen because of their cats. Otherwise, only hanging things like fabric flaps or curtain-like fabrics help.

Exactly. We already have regular insect screens and the cats just scratch them to pieces. Hanging things, they get through those too, they can also open doors, they will surely figure out quickly how to open them. Hence the question here. Does anyone have an idea?

Then you can get to know one here now ;). We don't have one because it just doesn't work with cats.

Would try fly screens with stainless steel mesh.

We are still looking as well, for the lift-and-slide door only a pleated blind that slides open fits for us, because due to the width we need an additional static profile in the middle. Otherwise, I would have chosen a large sliding frame with Petscreen fabric. Unfortunately, with the pleated blind that only works with normal fabric. Our tomcats are not allowed outside, so that makes it all the more difficult  Against scratching, I would simply provide a scratching option near the fly screen, since we have a small scratching post directly by the sofa, the sofa itself is spared ;)
