Hello, we live in beautiful Saxony. Here, if you place a carport on the property boundary, you do not need a building permit as long as you adhere to a few general rules. Among other things, I am bound to a height of 3m. Now to the question: Where is this measured? We have raised our property by about 40cm towards the neighbor. Since I need a clear driveway height of 2.40m, plus about 30cm roof construction, I am at 2.70m. So far, so good. However, if the neighbor measured with their tape measure, it would be 3.10m. Ergo, too high. How is this handled? After all, the carport is on my property, so only the height on my side should be decisive, right? I just don't want to make a mistake and, in the worst case, have to shorten the carport in height. Thanks in advance
