Hello,

the floor plan of the house is finalized.

The garage or the carport will eventually be built by ourselves, depending on how much money is left, either as a prefabricated garage + carport, or as a masonry double garage (attached to the house).

Preferably and most likely, it will be the option with a prefabricated garage + roof extending to the house (carport), as can be seen in the attachments.

What is important to us is that the overall appearance is visually appealing.
As in the example photo.
Even more important!.. That you stay dry.
Now, with our door and the small bathroom window, this is a bit difficult.
We would also like to keep the way from the garage to the house dry.

The idea was to extend the carport as well as the garage roof up to between the small bathroom window and the front door..

What do you think?
Ideas, experiences?

I hope I am correct with the floor plan design.[emoji56] It is also possible to move the garage forward and backward!

Have you ever received advice here regarding your floor plan? Is this the first draft?

Not here in the forum. No, it is not the first draft. So much to criticize 0.0 ?

Wouldn't hurt, in my opinion. It doesn't cost anything except maybe 30 minutes of your life :-)

You have such a great amount of floor space and only a 32sqm living/dining room comes out of it?
The utility room with the hallway alone is bigger than the living room. The utility room is 16sqm (for what?) and the kitchen is almost the smallest room on the ground floor.

The windows and patio doors are blocked by furniture (dining table and sofa)!

I would put the design up for discussion to possibly get one or two ideas.

:) Yes, thanks, but everything is thought through so far. (Doors still need to be set the right way in the plan)
We don't want a huge house and the utility room is that big because we're building without a basement.

We copied the size and layout of the living room and kitchen from my parents' house, everything fits there and is sufficient for us.

To manage the financing with Bayern Labo (interest subsidy program), more living space is not feasible.

It has 155 sqm of living space without the utility room on 2 full floors. That is enough for us.
