LOL. Nobody advertises for such outdated cars anymore nowadays. Tesla hasn’t made any progress for years, which is also reflected in the sales figures. Nobody turns around for Tesla anymore today. There are clearly more modern, better, and above all better manufactured cars. And not every XPENG, BYD, Polestar, etc. driver advertises for the great Chinese with their democratic role model function.

But the charging network is simply the best, and I am constantly on duty throughout Germany. Therefore, switching would definitely not be easy for me. But somehow, one also has a conscience and political awareness...

Nonsense. We now have so many fast chargers that you can easily charge anywhere and anytime. Tesla has "only" around 190 Supercharger stations, almost all of which are also open to non-Tesla chargers. Where is the problem? Otherwise, use one of the well over 33k fast charging points that do not belong to Tesla.

Then you have to commit to another larger provider to have reasonably fair prices. I also use the EnBW card occasionally, but only in exceptional cases because it is way too expensive to use it more often. And it’s not enough to have just four charging points; there need to be quite a few more so that you don’t end up having waiting time before the charging time itself. Besides, the car and the charging network must work closely together, especially because of preheating and so on. Does anyone else offer this besides Tesla?

Huh? Are there cars that don’t do that? Either as part of the charging plan a preconditioning is done to match arrival at the station, or (as with VW) you initiate it manually (for example, not possible with Audi – I looked at the new A6 Avant E-Tron as an alternative to the ID7).

Yes, Tesla is a bit cheaper for Tesla users. But what’s stopping you from using cards from two or three third-party providers?

P.S. Tesla charging stations are no longer an option for me and more and more users, by the way, since these are only designed for the 400V architecture. With 800V cars, you get around 100 kW charging power instead of up to (currently) triple that at third-party stations. That simply makes charging take too long for me (for example, with the A6).

May I ask what the kWh at Superchargers costs today for Tesla users?
