Cable connection for worktop lighting

Hello, I am currently planning the mounting of my new Ikea Faktum wall cabinets and am horrified to find that the back panel of these cabinets is flush with the side panels. Other brands have the back panel set inward, so that you can run the cables for the countertop lighting (under the wall cabinets) there. IKEA also offers systems for countertop lighting, but how the supply cables are supposed to be routed under the wall cabinets is a mystery to me. Who has already found a good solution for this?

After I once had mildew stains on the back walls of some upper cabinets, I mounted them about 1 cm away from the wall by placing wooden shims with holes on the screws before hanging the cabinets. With Metod, this problem will no longer occur.

The idea of additional lighting was simply not that popular when Faktum was created. That is why it did / does not exist yet...

I have installed a matching cover panel on the sides, bottom, and top of the wall cabinets. This makes the cabinets look much better in the first place and, as an advantage, you can easily run the cables for the countertop lighting inside them.

For this purpose, I had a suitable groove milled (router) or cut in (circular saw) on the back of the cover panels by a local hardware store with an attached carpentry shop. With about 15 mm width and just over 5 mm depth, there is enough space to completely hide plenty of LED lights wiring.
