Before I can "go through" a thrown-in window, more has to happen than just a partial break, as is typically caused by a stone or the like. So, unless I want to slit myself open, I would have to take a few minutes to shape the opening accordingly. It is certainly possible, but would probably be too elaborate (and dangerous) for the average burglar.

Works without foil, meaning draft protection is not that difficult. Cover with a felt blanket and go in... Of course, don't use the smallest opening. The most vulnerable are passage doors from the garage into the house. A sectional door is not a big obstacle. After that, you can work on the door at your leisure. Immediately after that come terrace doors... What windows did you choose for yourselves now?

What is it about?
I will exclude burglary protection – even if the participants here assume that.
Is it about footballs?

What is it supposed to be for? What should be prevented, what supported? In what context?
Only by recognizing the motives first can you say whether something is nonsense or sensible.

And then there are the window breakers. I consider them more likely than window smashers. Our windows can be locked and we do keep them locked. The effort is really minimal, the key is simply right at/by the windows. On the window frame works too.

The rule is simple. Whoever wants to get in, gets in.

But often they give up if it takes too long or would make noise. On the other hand, you can optimize your hut.

If the key lies next to the lock, you don't need to lock it.
