We started practicing in the bedroom... It's not quite perfect there. But something needs to be done anyway soon because of settlement cracks...

In the living/dining area and kitchen, we used almost everywhere the same tinted (shell) one. Except in the kitchen, where one wall and the chimney were painted white, which were then painted red.

I am currently away from the idea of doing it myself. After a house inspection by a professional with excellent reviews (in the three-digit range), we received an offer today for less than €6000. Including materials for the entire house, one sanding, priming, wallpapering, and painting. I think we would easily spend €2000-3000 on materials, and the professional’s work time will be limited, but for us as laypeople with a 1-year-old baby without a babysitter, it seems like a daunting mammoth task to finish the whole house. Therefore, we are currently strongly leaning towards awarding the contract and enjoying a beautiful, finished house without DIY mistakes.

I think we would easily spend €2000-3000 on materials anyway, and the professional’s work time will be limited, but for us as laypeople with a one-year-old baby without a babysitter, it seems like a difficult mammoth task to finish the whole house. Therefore, we are currently leaning strongly towards commissioning the job and enjoying a nice, finished house without DIY mishaps.

In my opinion, that would be a very sensible decision, so that you don’t end up doing things at the last stage that you regret later. I can understand that very well, even though I have done such tasks many times.
In most cases, you simply see the difference!
