Baukindergeld - Does it no longer have to be the first property ever acquired?

why is that? If a family buys an existing house or [ETW], then someone else has none anymore (or one less) and will tend to build a new one instead (for which they will then not receive [Baukindergeld]). The goal is achieved just the same.

yes, the seller also receives child construction benefits (if he sells first and then builds), provided he has children.

The state wants its citizens to increasingly take care of their own security in old age. And a major factor against poverty in old age is property ownership. So the state wants to increase the ownership rate. To make things a little easier for families with many children, the Baukindergeld was created.

Of course. Maximum resource usage. But everyone in the chain has potentially improved their security for old age. And compared to the support the state otherwise provides in old age, Baukindergeld is peanuts. And the condition of sole ownership prevents the disproportionate accumulation of wealth by a few.

In the end, a good deal for the state and other parties. Per house €500,000 = 10x €50,000 ancillary purchase costs. Of that, €325,000 real estate transfer tax for the state (in NRW).

So there must be a total of 42 children among the 10 families for it to be a zero-sum game. Great idea then...

Originally, this was within the family - without land transfer tax. Not anymore now.
