Hello everyone,

we are currently in the planning phase of our single-family house. Specifically, we are currently focused on planning the bathroom on the upper floor.
The framework conditions should be as follows:

    [*]Bathtub
    [*]Double washbasin
[*]Walk-in shower (whether with a partition wall or glass is still open)
[*]Toilet not directly visible upon entering
    [*]1 floor-to-ceiling window, 1 light strip
    [*]Knee wall 1.80 m

I have attached the architect's first draft on one side, but unfortunately we do not like it at all, because the toilet is placed very prominently here.

So we have already thought about what it could look like and have played around a bit. I have attached the ideas.

We would be interested to hear what you think or if you possibly have a clever idea that we haven't thought of yet. Our goal is to give our architect the corresponding input.
If I have forgotten anything, just ask :-)

We look forward to your feedback, thank you very much!

Option 2 is quite nice, isn't it?! What is that brown box under the left window? However, I would place the tub nicely on pedestals and centered, possibly also reconsider the floor-to-ceiling window. I would also omit the wall at the toilet - the washbasins serve as privacy screens anyway, and the wall takes away light at the washbasin.

I would only position the toilet in the place shown in your second version. The privacy screen is indeed not necessary. I would leave the shower as in the architect's plan. This way it gets more light and the splash area is not at the entrance door.

Variant 2 with the shower on the left wall will not work well ... the knee wall is only 180 cm there. Or it involves people of short stature ;).

Yes, we are currently leaning towards that variant as well.

That was a placeholder for a laundry basket or something similar for us :-D

Okay, I have updated the design. Is this what you meant? :) With the two variants, centered and flush, so there is still room for a cabinet and laundry baskets.

One issue is still the sloping roof and the mounting of the showerhead. I am just thinking that it might be "too far forward."

is right there: this will be a mess. The door could still be moved a bit, I think. In that respect, some furniture shuffling could be done again …
