Well, I wouldn't want the laundry chute next to the (wet) shower either....that way you channel the moisture directly 1:1 into the basement where it then ends up.....

The bathroom upstairs is a matter of taste. In the bathroom downstairs, I would work with glass; the wall gives the already small room too much of a cave-like character.

Addendum, as I just read: TV in the bathroom? That seems to be a very important activity on your daily agenda...

What do you need a TV in the bathroom for? That is as useful as a refrigerator in the bedroom..

Strange, I was just thinking about exactly those two things. We have planned a TV in front of the bathtub as well. The implementation is still missing. Then I "wonder" if we should finally loosen up the money for it. And just yesterday I thought I could use a freezer in my bedroom. My aquarium is there, and that way I could put the frozen food right next to the tank and wouldn't have to run to the kitchen all the time. So pretty normal, right? :D

Do you also have a hatch on the ground floor?
Then it would be practical in case of some mishaps*.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t be important to me and I would swap them so that you have daylight in the toilet. Like the argument from

* they come with age ;)

The TV is a dream of my wife. Lying nicely in the bathtub and watching series. For me, there is nothing against it, the additional costs are also within limits. It's no more than the wiring for TV, LAN, socket. The device is already available anyway.

To the ground floor: the guest WC with shower is 6.4 sqm. In most houses these rooms are 3-5 sqm in size. We are probably far from a cave, so I am not worried.

Best regards
