In the main bathroom, we were also asked during the construction discussion whether we wanted a heating cartridge in the towel radiator or connected to the underfloor heating. We decided on the underfloor heating option, even though we were aware that it wouldn’t provide much heating power. Our general contractor also told us that in advance.

In the toilet, I would probably only take electric. The shower probably won’t be used as often as the one in the main bathroom anyway. Therefore, the electric towel radiator probably won’t be used often.

not really...

As Basti has already described, this approach brings exactly zero added value, but costs about 500 euros upfront...

Why not save the money, or have an electric towel radiator installed with an E-cartridge?

I understand that, but what exactly doesn’t work is unclear (bathroom too cold would be one possible answer; also: towels too cold ;-) ).

That is probably a good idea; so don’t install a towel radiator at all. Instead, better use a decent towel holder. For us, too late now ...

For us, the towel radiator (in the underfloor heating circuit) including. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have taken one either. An electric cartridge would have come with a surcharge. But I don’t know how much. I will bring up the topic again with our plumber when the time comes.
