Hello dear forum members, I hope someone can help us  We excavated our basement walls about 3-4 weeks ago because we want to apply a new bitumen and sealing layer. But the walls just won't dry... :( According to the measuring device, in some places it is still OL, meaning over 40% moisture?! And the current humidity levels aren’t helping either.. The house was practically underwater because there was no drainage.. For years.. Even from the inside, the plaster was already crumbling in some places or there were water stains.. Now my question.. How do we get the walls dry ASAP? We already had to postpone the facade insulation (which also has to be done this year for [Kfw]) Would a dehumidifier that can be rented help? Or do these only dry the air in a room? Bitumen and sealing layer (this is a kind of compound that you trowel on) can only be applied once the walls are dry everywhere?! I hope someone can help us :o
