ok, that is an argument - but is the utility room actually connected to it?

Yes, all rooms of the building - incl. unused attic.

Why was this recommended?

The bathroom is just a placeholder - pipes are being laid, but no bathroom will be installed for now.

Remember that you must not have any "dead" water pipes. So either you have to install faucets there and occasionally drain water, or extend the pipes so that there is an outlet behind. Otherwise, bacteria can form in the stagnant water.

I know - there will be shut-off valves in the connection room for that.

I can’t really tell you the exact reason anymore - however, I think we had talked about the fact that the room where the ventilation control unit is located ideally should not be ventilated.

Why, however, I no longer know...

Ok, I can't quite understand that either. But the controlled residential ventilation is located in our attic.
