Basement floor: Painting, tiles, vinyl, or?

I would tile. You can do it yourself, if you have never done it before, then start with the least important room ^^ I always find tiles best for these rooms - they are durable, long-lasting, and easy to clean.

But you do remember that it’s about 1 cellar? Where technology and washing machine and cans and bottles live?

First, either have it sanded or level it yourself with about one centimeter of leveling compound. Then you can lay the final covering or simply just paint it.

As a durable final covering, besides tiles in an affordable form, PVC in roll form is also suitable; more expensive are linoleum or (my favorite) rubber, where it is worth searching for leftover rolls.

Are door frames provided by the general contractor? Then it’s okay; otherwise, please inform the door manufacturer about the later floor covering so that the frames are installed at the correct height.

What about the stairs? The starting step is concreted in such a way that the later floor structure / screed is taken into account.
