BAFA: Combining Air-Water Heat Pump vs. Ground Source Heat Pump Subsidy

Hello everyone,
we are planning a Kfw70 house with underfloor heating and an air-water heat pump. Now, as far as I interpret it correctly, I have seen that it can also be combined with the BAFA subsidy and thus receive a grant of:
€1,300 for air-water heat pump
€4,000 for soil-water heat pump (without ground probe).
I have enough space on the property for a collector or trench.

The question now is whether it is worth taking the subsidies for the soil-water heat pump and investing in an efficient heat pump (seasonal performance factor) in return? Does anyone have experience with the procedure and the payment of the funds?

I would not install a brine heat pump that does not reach an annual performance factor (according to VDI4650) of 4.5! Good air-to-water heat pumps already achieve that nowadays (mine, for example, Buderus Logatherm WPL AR).

For modulating air-to-water heat pumps, there is also €1500 instead of €1300.

I thought long and hard about whether to take the €4000 and go with brine. But I decided against it because I didn’t want to restrict myself in the garden (pool, pond, garden house, shed...).

One problem with the Bafa innovation funding is that the first application must be submitted before signing the contract. On the other hand, you would already need data from the heating load determination to calculate the annual performance factor. For that, you need a flexible general contractor. Furthermore, the building must still be standing after 9 months, otherwise the claim expires.

Is the innovation promotion in new construction not fundamentally only available with an annual performance factor above 4.5?

yes, but nobody has claimed otherwise.

Where are there any restrictions in the garden with a brine heat pump? Or do you mean the surface collector?

If you build with an architect, you are very flexible and have no problems in that regard.

Does that mean before signing a contract with the general contractor? I will be awarding most trades individually. The heating system is also not finalized yet, i.e. I am still undecided between an air-to-water heat pump and a soil-to-water heat pump.
: How satisfied are you with your air-to-water heat pump? Outdoor or indoor unit or split? Noise level, annual performance factor, heating capacity during really severe subzero temperatures?

For surface collectors, I found prices between 4,000 and 7,000 euros on the internet. That doesn't sound like an advantage from the BAFA funding at first glance...
