Hello everyone,

our house is oriented North/South and the street is on the north side. On the plan, exactly at the top.

We currently have the bedroom in the north (northeast), because it stays cooler that way. Light is not so important to us in the bedroom, since you are usually there at night anyway. The bathroom is in the south, so it is a bit warmer and you can have the window facing the (private) garden and not the street side.
Distance between house/street would be about 6m.
However, the bedroom window would not be far from the front door either.

Now we are often advised to move the bedroom to the south.
Somehow, the privacy in the bathroom seems more important to us than in the bedroom.
What do you think?

What is underneath the bathroom? South-facing window in the bedroom must be tolerated..,

Have you ever posted the complete floor plan? I would be interested - I really like the small side.

this is the ground floor, so: base slab and then dirt. Above that is a complete upper floor as a full story and then a hipped roof. @BeHaEIJa No, I haven’t posted that here yet. There is a thread about it in the BEF, and I don’t like cross-posts.

Oh yes, the gigantic large traffic area ;) As already said: bedroom windows facing south are always closed with shutters when the sun is shining. ... And I am a cold person... In that respect, if I were you, I would treat myself to a direct exit from the bathroom to the terrace :)

I like it :)
And I would leave the bedroom and bathroom as they are. But consider an east-facing window in the bedroom
