I am also installing the thing in my place into a patio slab. It can be nicely installed flush and the cut edges are covered.

So far, I am not aware of any that can be driven over quickly. I would rather go for other manufacturers like Gardena here. Alternatively, a suitable metal box and place the connection inside it or a nice standing water tap on the side.

Sorry, was away for a few days.

It doesn't have to be drivable. I just have concerns with that Gardena thing that if I set it into the pavement, and I need to get to the connection, I can start removing the stones around it.

The idea with the metal box is actually quite nice.... then the "connection piece" would be easily accessible in the box....

But basically: The Gardena has a 3/4" connection. How do I get a 1" (meaning 32mm) PE pipe on there? Probably with the appropriate fittings. But does that make sense? Or does the Gardena then "slow everything down"?

If you embed something into the pavement and want to access the connection later... well, then the 5 paving stones have to be removed. No matter which company the box is from.

There are fittings from 32mm PE to external thread of your choice. You can screw on a hose connection or whatever you need. You will surely want to be able to disconnect the hose, so only a plug-in system with a narrow point helps. But that's not a problem. For fixed installation, you would rather use a 3/4" hose clamp. But you surely don't want that in the pavement.

I clarify: Yesterday's heavy rain poured 5,800l into my cistern, that should be enough until the next rain.

Since I have been eyeing the Hunter Hydrawise for a while, I treated myself to it today for 160.- - what this thing can do would take ages to build "by hand and on foot" in HA.
