I have an attic, the top floor ceiling is insulated. My angle (of the roof) is completely different, I am only writing because of the storage of things in the "cold roof." In summer it is anything but that, on the contrary, it is very hot up there. I wouldn't even put my skis up there... Anything that can't handle heat can't go there. Sure, the Christmas tree stand for sure and the baubles too, but otherwise?

Our cold attic has only about 1.5m at the highest point, but I insisted on having a hatch for access. So much has found a place there now.. (Leftover tiles and roof panels, decorative stuff, sled, suitcase, children's vehicles..) Otherwise, I wouldn’t know where to put it.

So, definitely don’t waste the space.

Well, a thousand things come to mind spontaneously. Your last school report cards, the children's toys you want to keep, the leftover tiles that can serve as a makeshift, the moving boxes, the inline skates that have been unused in the corner for years, decorative stuff, whether for Easter, Christmas, or anything else, the old dishes waiting for the next bachelorette party, the air mattress and the sunshade from Mallorca, the stroller... just a few examples

Thank you very much for the feedback. By "abhängen," we meant that an exposed roof truss is not an option for us anyway. A knee wall would be possible, and we are planning a rafter roof. This is how we had planned it as well – we were just advised several times against it due to poor usability and high additional costs.

Thank you very much for your feedback! We will probably decide on this as well and take advantage of the opportunity.

Does the storage space differ depending on whether you have a 22 or 25 degree hip roof? How do you decide the degree?
