Hey,
I would like to ask for your tips on how to solve the following "problem."
The rough-sawn boards were delivered and are now lying in front of the house (due to the forecasted rain in the coming days, I covered them). The carpenters did not have the supplier lift the materials onto the collar beams, probably because they were bundled together. Thus, the weight would not have been distributed. I had ordered 5.10m and 4.50m lengths.
On Monday/Tuesday, the interior walls and gables in the attic will be built. The roofer will come the following week.
Now I am thinking about how to get the boards onto the collar beams in the days before the roofer comes (nice weather is forecasted since the roof will be open).
Maybe someone has already faced this situation and also did not have short boards to stack them up.
The scaffolding on the gable sides is there and goes up roughly as high as the collar beam (it feels like), but the gable is closed.
My current idea is to thread the boards from the outside over the scaffolding into the attic, then further up through the beams onto the collar beam.
Maybe someone has an ultimate tip?
Thanks!
