Attaching the Ikea Billy Morebo doors to the Ikea Billy shelf

I registered here today because I am currently desperate and hope that you can help me?!!

I received the Billy Morebo doors from an acquaintance as a gift - unfortunately without instructions! The doors are already assembled and now I wanted to attach them to my Billy shelf. Unfortunately, I don’t know how!! I know how the hinges are installed in the doors, also the brackets in the shelf. However, these damn things don’t click in!!! As soon as I press against them, the doors slide back out!

Does anyone have a tip on how I can get the doors to stay firmly in there???!!

Hej ho,

On the hinges of the doors there are small hooks that are pushed "under-in" the hinges inside the cabinet. Then tap once with the flat hand and it should click!

...only exactly that unfortunately doesn’t work!! I have already tried it without the cabinet - these hooks fit well, but when I press (or hit) against them, the rest just doesn’t click in! A quick tap and everything is out again. These things just don’t hold! It immediately makes me think that the cabinet doors will fall out again.

So it can only be because the hinges in the doors don't fit the others 100% well. With the Morebo`s it's always a bit of fiddling anyway. Make them mm-precise. I had to hold mine in front of the ones in the cabinets several times before it fit. It has to be mm-precise.

I have all small doors and installed 4 in each of my tall Billys. It's a bit of trial and error.

Can I take a look at it? I live in Hamburg, near the city. Normally, you just have to tighten the screws and then those s...things will hold :D

Yay, done!!! The hammer was the solution to the puzzle :D Just hit it properly and the things hold perfectly. Now my doors are in and Maren is happy :D
