Damp wall???

Small problem, big effect. But...

WARNING: Please observe the safety instructions, everything at your own risk.

... go to the pharmacy, get hydrochloric acid, and then spray the wall, but be very careful not to spray anything else, let it dry nicely for 24 hours, spray again. Paint with a special mold paint (which prevents further outbreaks) and let it "dry out" for a few months and observe.

We had the same problem. Now we even managed to set up tall cabinets without new mold developing. Of course, we left about 5 cm of air between the wall and the cabinet and ventilate daily for several hours in good weather and the door is now always closed.

And very important: If the living room is a separate room, always keep the doors closed and ventilate thoroughly in warm temperatures (caution with rain or humid air, it immediately seeps back into undesirable places, because drying the walls can take a very, very long time).

How to get mold from Billy... Really interesting topics here. We could even start a category "DIY and Household"

Wouldn't know where the problem should be either? It works perfectly fine the way you described it.

Hello, so I would urgently try to get the mold under control, because it is extremely harmful to health. So investigate the causes. As for Billy - we also have the white one in the hallway (as a display cabinet) and my son is using it to add more storage. More precisely, his room. The units are filled to the brim with Star Wars collectibles. Regarding stability - a back panel is normally very important to make the unit stable, as the Pax back panel does. Especially if you want to put books or something heavy in there. I would do a mix of both: First cut holes in the back panel (You could - if the shelf is not meant to hold books - illuminate the whole thing from behind and/or maybe use a printed back panel to emphasize it) And also work with brackets (but keep in mind that it will then be difficult to move the shelf). That’s my suggestion so far. And I would find a creative and DIY corner great.
