Which bank is behind the Interhyp offer?
Our house bank is offering us 1.25% for 15 years. By the way, a Volksbank.

In the meantime, I have the offer without the KfW124. So 250,000€ bank loan over 20 years with an interest rate of 1.79%, so this offer is quite a bit more expensive. It was also said that the interest rates have increased accordingly. Does anyone know a site where you can check the current interest rates? So not something like the interest rate charts from Interhyp or similar. Thanks

The problem is, the key interest rate is at 0.0%. The rest is handled by the banks themselves. An efficiently operating bank will probably be able to offer a lower rate. And, of course, the valuation factors also play a role.

So if I enter current construction interest rates into the search engine, something comes up ... increased? Huh, who is telling such things, the only thing that has increased is his processing fee.

It's nice that a significant interest rate increase after 15 years will not cause you any problems. However, there are quite a few homeowners who pay off their house over 25-30 years. For this target group, an interest rate increase of 3-4% means a doubling of the installment. That really hurts then.
