I would only fully repay ... is super safe! And the inflation in 10-20 years will strongly support it..

Little help, because a full amortization loan over 20 years should be able to adjust the monthly burden somewhat. It was mentioned that this was planned to be extra low and that special repayments are to be used.

We were initially also more inclined towards 15 years. But the offer for 15 years was at an interest rate of 1.42%, for 20 years at 1.58%. That gives you 5 more years of security at manageable additional costs. Since you don't know how the interest rates will be in 15 or 20 years, one or the other option may be better. Or they may be equally good.

As mentioned, the offer without the KfW124 program is still expected today.

How many banks or which ones are you talking to? We signed the contract 2 weeks ago, financing amount slightly lower at 1.3% for 15 years. And the interest rates would have to rise to 7 or 8% for it to really hurt after 15 years.

We were with several banks but had paused the financing issue and have now resumed it. Three months ago, the offers were very similar, so we did not obtain an offer from all banks again. The offer is from Interhyp. At one Raiffeisenbank, the offer was significantly worse. 1.53% for 15 years and 1.88% for 20 years. And at some point, one probably has to make a decision.

Always exciting how much the offers differ.
