So you think that even if it is asbestos, and the material at the edges slightly detaches from the substrate, it can remain in place? I would like to do that, since it’s only a basement!
But the expert who was here said that because of the edges it is no longer intact and should be removed! Hence the question.
The basement is 36 sqm, 5 sqm of which concern the minimally raised edge, the rest of the basement has (intact) baseboards.

No, if it protrudes, action should be taken. But I am not just of the opinion, I am absolutely convinced that you are being hysterical and shouldn’t stress yourself. Even if it is asbestos, the current risk is close to zero. The edges are not intact. So? Are you sanding off the edges? Are you walking on the edges? No! So you are not producing any fibers either. And only those are the problem. From my own professional experience, I know that asbestos is even intentionally left in office buildings. Why? Because no danger comes from that asbestos as it was encapsulated somewhere. For example, in fire protection issues. ==> Calmly examine, analyze (to calm yourself) and then initiate measures (remove the floor, seal the edges, or whatever). Of course, only if it is asbestos (which I also don’t believe).

Thank you for your detailed answer. Here, not only I live but also my wife and child. That’s why I prefer to ask more precisely.

Despite 5000 tons of asbestos, Erich and his associates in the lamp shop have also all grown very old.

Asbestos under such PVC floors as shown above is referred to as weakly bound asbestos fibers (provided they really contain asbestos!). These floors can be a source of danger even in normal use in that condition and should be removed. However, this is no reason to panic now. First wait for the analysis and maybe better trust the expert than a forum. I am not an expert in this either, but I have had to deal with it for a given reason.

Asbestos is installed and bound, no danger. Only when it crumbles and fibers are exposed could ... one could inhale them and it might be harmful to health in the long term. No panic!!!! So if it loosens in your place, then could... could! something might loosen during floor cleaning. If there is asbestos, the floor should be renovated in the medium term.
