Dear congregation!

A question that presumably many have had – but I still have no solution/answer for my question:

Is there a possibility to set the blinds box "a bit higher" (see photos)
or is this not possible due to reasons of statics/insulation?

The goal is to have windows as tall as possible and not the 30 cm "height loss" caused by the blinds boxes.
The shell construction height is 2.75 m, so "net" about 2.60 m. Windows should ideally be (room) height.

Or are there other solutions besides the from the outside less attractive "pre-wall box system"?

Many thanks for your experienced opinion!

Best regards and happy building and living!

Building with ETICS and thus an external [Aufsatzjalousie]. Otherwise, increase the room height, then you can also install larger windows.

Yep, build ETICS and integrate the [Raffstorekasten] there, that way you get ceiling height windows, if desired.

Thank you! ok - two questions about that:

1. Is there a rough cost estimate "per sqm area" or something like that?

2. Can that still be decided "on the way" - if the application is already with the building authority? Or is the train then already completely gone...?

Thanks for the answers

You have to clarify in advance how you build. If you now add 20cm of insulation on top of your 36cm, it will be a nonsensical construct. Then adapt the stone, etc. If possible, judging by your question, you are already at the building application stage – I would rather build higher still and then comfortably suspend the ceiling. For example, you can install ventilation ducts and spotlights. Or the speakers for Dolby Atmos. Or or or

The train has left the station, or you would have to take a few steps back and bear the corresponding planning costs twice. The type of wall structure affects the volume = new plan, new site plan, new building application. And also the thermal insulation certificate, which belongs to the building application. Or as nordanney says, build higher and suspend. Suspending quickly costs 3-5K€ per floor and the building height again affects the building application.
