Upside down without a panoramic view and the mountain-side entrance on top is not just a bestseller out of the lack of imagination of the philistines. My amazement about the "transgenic" inspirational design remains unanswered. Please anything but that. Too early, too wrong. See "A house building schedule, also for you: the HOAI phase model!" as well as "dough resting" and "setting the course". Again: starting at the wrong end. And the tail wags the dog when the cars get their royal boxes first and the family gets what’s left. Oh, there was something about that: and

Is there a building envelope? I would be interested in the original text of the development plan. Would you be willing to share it (without providing a link, but with a location name)?

The 301 doesn't have a granny flat at all. Not even the best redesign can help with that.

that’s exactly why I pointed to And there the granny flat is still within the spatial conditions that Yvonne mentioned in one of the posts here as realistic for a granny flat for a 60-year-old couple.

That will never fit on the property.

Now I also understand the sentence: sleep downstairs, live upstairs. And where are the parents supposed to go or the granny flat? I suspect that you have simply fallen in love with this roof terrace. A bit of enthusiasm and being smitten is part of life, but one should not ignore the facts about what is possible or not. Common sense with a bit of addition from elementary school can see that it doesn't work with the dimensions like that, unless you want to squeeze the parents (parents-in-law) into barely 30 student square meters. The 232 you mentioned is really a great suggestion. Yes, you have to compress it on both sides. I personally like this style of construction but don’t want my garden next to such a high two-story wall. I have had this experience with our ERH. Too close and too high. I find the granny flat belonging to the 232 too small for 60-year-olds (our all-purpose room is about the size of the whole apartment). But: the design has potential for change and the courtyard has space for parking spaces.
