Are the additional costs for lime plaster instead of gypsum plaster realistic?

Many of us will have both types of plaster in the same house, gypsum in the living rooms, lime cement in the bathrooms. Hand on heart, who feels the difference? I feel nothing.

Gypsum is also a purely mineral-based building material and moisture-regulating. Breathable—where is anything supposed to diffuse to? Into the masonry? And then what? Will the house start sweating?

The house breathes it out again through its gills. Every child knows that

Lime cement is harder. With plaster, you get a dent in more quickly. On the other hand, plaster is smoother or easier to sand, with lime cement you can't avoid filling.

A funny idea. The material can absorb water and acts like a storage - it regulates humidity in this way. It takes in some moisture when the air humidity is high and releases it back when the air is "dry". However, you don’t see any sweating or steaming. The effect is a more even humidity level in the room - and that is pleasant.

The effect is very minimal...

That's how it is... it's just nice for marketing, to make people believe once again that they get a better indoor climate... as long as enough people are found who pay for the belief, ...
