Are building plans with a 1m knee wall still up-to-date?

Even with double the money, we would not have had the opportunity to purchase a larger building plot.

My partner had plots on offer two years ago and, on my advice, in the first round offered the adjacent plots each two as one, so that they at least reached 500 sqm. In the second round they were then offered individually, and only then was there demand.

Although I wouldn’t necessarily call 2 full floors a high-rise.

More eaves height does indeed create a more "massive" building volume; the "high-rise" was, of course, meant symbolically.

The plots here are sufficiently large (700 - 800 sqm) for a single-family house, so nothing will be overshadowed. It wouldn't have hurt anyone to allow two full stories.

700-800 sqm is not the densification currently being promoted, but it’s not really large either. We want cheap plots with huge living space and a fence around them. That’s where the problem lies. The building regulations are not wrong; the trend could be questioned.
