I have a friend, a lawyer, who actually founded a GbR with her partner/husband (unmarried). That way, they jointly purchased a property to live in themselves. However, the professional services did not cost anything here, she was able to do that herself. Except for the notary for the actual house purchase.
Renting out is nonsense because the ex is always involved there too. You have to pay taxes on everything, etc. etc. What does the bank say now? Have they proposed or checked anything?

The bank only said that if you want a VE calculation, you have to order it. It takes about 4-6 weeks. I'm going on vacation now and then I'll tackle it. My gut feeling always tells me that I should only approach the bank when a decision has been made. My distrust towards them is somehow very high :-P
