For everyone still considering whether they should install cooling in any form, I would say YES!
Today we are reaching around 40°C outside. Phew! Luckily, we ticked the box for "Cooling yes or no?" back then.

It runs very energy-efficiently via our geothermal heating in the floor (the cold is practically just pumped up). We have a pleasant 22.1°C in the rooms.

Honestly, this climate change really pisses me off. If anyone still has a property at the North Cape for sale cheap, please get in touch.

In our living room it is currently 32 degrees. In the bedroom only 26. The facade greening helps. But how long will it stay this hot? We can handle a few days. Of course, if the cooling doesn't cost a lot more, I would have it included in the new building. But even without it, it's not a big deal. I also remember from my grandma's house that it was very warm inside during the summer. It's not a new phenomenon for me.

Btw... the pool has 34 degrees water temperature, as I just saw. Either we sized the solar heating too big or the pool is still too small (cheap 5m above-ground pool) ^^ I'll go turn off the heating and open the fresh water...

We have at least one portable air conditioner in our still-rental apartment. This allows us to cool the children's room and bedroom for falling asleep at least. Best investment of 2019 so far

My in-laws need something like that too. What is the name of the device?

We have a pleasant 28 degrees in the house, 22 degrees would be too cold for me inside, it's even warmer here in winter. However, since this year we have a nice pool in the garden, which provides cooling.

Best regards
Sabine

Hantech 9000 was on offer at Hornbach for 199 a few weeks ago. It is important to convert to a two-hose system (ask Aunt Google), which makes these devices significantly more efficient. Yesterday I cooled the children's room down from 27 to 24 in 1.5 hours. And the little ones are happy.
