Hello everyone,

for our condominium under construction, we are still looking for alternative layout ideas for our bathroom. In addition to a toilet, washbasin, and shower, it should also include a bathtub if possible. The architect’s original proposal is as follows:

We are wondering if you have a better idea for the arrangement, because we find the current version somewhat boring and also the fact that the shower is directly adjacent to the bathtub is not ideal. A version in which the shower possibly works without a glass partition, for example with an additional wall, would be nice.

The room dimensions are depicted in the following reproduction (pre-wall constructions are removed). B, C, and D are fixed, while A or E could be slightly extended downward (max. 30 cm) if this would result in a significantly better solution by making the hallway narrower. The door could also be moved.

A = 135, B = 55, C = 95, D = 280, E = 230, F = 339

One idea was the following layout (however, the showerhead is shown on the wrong wall in the illustration), but we were not very satisfied with it, as it seemed too cramped to us.

We would be very grateful for suggestions!!!

In a bathroom, it always feels cramped when you mix things up imaginatively. I find the boring option, as shown above, quite good. Boring is usually the more elegant answer in a small bathroom.

With your suggestion, you probably won't even be able to open the door properly —> WC. The additional wall makes the bathroom look even smaller and you basically always have to go behind the door. The architect's suggestion is fine. However, I would have a narrower door (70 cm) installed.

The bathtub should be about 180 cm, the wall 20 cm, the shower about 80 cm.

Please do not reduce the size of the doors, what you have is what you have (in case someone needs to enter with a wheelchair).

Bathtub on the E side, sink then goes to the D side in the middle, toilet to the left of the door. Level shower in the DB corner with a glass partition wall towards the sink.

The result would be that when entering, you do not immediately look at the toilet and the view of either a rain shower or the bathtub is nicely inviting.
